Sleeper pick of the winter 2023 season. Brothers Yeo watch The Fire Hunter (Hikari no Ou), episode 1, "Departure." Touko is a young girl in a rural setting. After her parents die in an accident, she wanders into the forest to ask for medicine from those who dwell there. Within, a fire hunter rescues her from a fire demon, and dies in the process. His belongings: a sickle, and his dog, Kanata, are left in her care. Now she must go to the city to return his belongings, adventuring through a dangerous world.
