The Apostle's Creed - Resurrection

The essence of the message the early church taught to the early disciples and preached very clearly was that Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Saviour who died for our sins. He died literally on the cross, He was then buried and sealed in a tomb, and, on the third day, He burst out of the tomb, risen and visible, and appeared to the disciples for over 40 days, after which, He ascended to heaven. And from there, He will return again in power and glory to judge the world according to how we have responded to His message of the Gospel. Also that, through repentance and faith in Him, we too can receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life.
