Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses a recent topic kicking around here in the YouTubiverse which claims that ATF Form 1s, where background checks are not completed within 88 days, are automatically rejected, thus rejecting a Form 1 application and then putting the owner in jeopardy of criminal prosecution for illegally possessing a short barrel rifle in violation of the National Firearms Act. But this had many of us asking if that really was the case? After all, we know that almost ALL Form 4 applications take much longer than 90 days, and none of them ever "time out." So after discussing this topic with several FFLs over the weekend, and having many of our viewers ask about this video and ask for us to weigh in on this, we give you our take on the potential 88-day trap in ATF's new pistol brace rule.
