Jumping to conclusions

There is a fine line between narrating an event in a healthy way and taking leaps that we should not take in our narration. This issue is exacerbated by our desire to confirm our bias. We provide a concrete example of an abstract concept where the brain fills in information without us even knowing it if we aren't careful.
