Description: In 1 Samuel 13, we see that God desired to replace King Saul with another man because of Saul’s disobedience. The new man God would choose would be a man after God’s own heart. That man was David. But what made David a man after God’s heart? And what does it even mean to be someone after God’s own heart? We see in Scripture that both Saul and David were imperfect men who grievously sinned against the Lord; so why did God refer to David as a man after His heart and not Saul?
