Olsa Tools has a ratchet wrench set they claim has an Innovative Reversible Design.  This design uses a push reversible mechanism.  The direction of the wrench is changed by a slight push on the wrench and moving it in the direction you want to use the wrench.  This is a 90 tooth ratcheting gear with the wrench being made from 6140 Chrome Vanadium Steel and featuring a full lifetime warranty.

Olsa Tools started in 2015 making organizers for tools.  They are very well known for making good quality tool organizers for just about everything.  If you do any searching around on Olsa Tools you are sure to find a few organizer reviews and they are very positive.  Amazon reviewers also feel the same.

There does not seem to be a lot of information out on the Olsa Tools Push Reversible Ratcheting Wrench Set.  These sets are available in Metric and Standard.  The finish on these tools is some of the best we have seen and we are sure that is partly because they are made in Taiwan.  There is no doubt a higher quality product leaving there and China.

There is a learning curve to using these wrenches.  There needed to be a small thought about not pushing inward at all while working the wrench fast.  If there was pressure inward, the wrench direction would change and one could get frustrated.  After a few minutes, all of that seemed to go away and the efficiency started showing.

We struggle as a team to figure out if this technology will take over the industry.  There is no doubt that it has the potential to get larger, but will the professional market accept it?  The small switch that more reversible ratchets have is very acceptable to most and the failure rate is pretty low.  The switch style ratchet wrenches can also unexpectedly change direction on the user in tight spaces, but it is less likely than with the push style.

This innovation will appeal to many people without a doubt.  it will be interesting to see how fast this grows and what might be the next step.
