Battery or AC Power - The Metabo HPT G3612DA Mult Volt 4-1/2" brushless angle grinder gives users what they have always wanted.  This grinder is very powerful and can give you that power in a corded form or allows you to attach a battery and leave the shop to complete work without a cord.  While the corded option might not fit the best for every tool, it is a perfect match for an angle grinder that has many different uses and many times needs power from a cord.   The Metabo HPT Grinder has a variable speed dial with auto mode that can produce 3,000 up to 9,500 RPM's.  The auto mode starts the grinder out at 5,500 RPM's and ramps the RPM's up to 9,500 when the tool feels the extra speed and power is needed.

This angle grinder is equipped with a slide switch with lock-on, but you can also order this same grinder with a paddle switch.

Best Grinder to Date?
If you watched the above YouTube video, we state that this is the best angle grinder we have used to date.  We firmly stand by that.  This is not the most powerful grinder we have used.  We slate it at second place under the DEWALT FlexVolt, but it does have other features that bring the full package up to the best grinder on the market.  While we state the side handle has too much of an angle forward, it does have some of the best vibration dampening on the market.  The guard is large and does not rotate as much as we want, but we do have an angle grinder so we can fix that!  All in all, the ability to change from corded power to battery is huge for an angle grinder.  No matter the size of the battery, there are always tasks that take up a lot of time and the cord makes this the perfect unit for that.
