Solo in Sofia's biggest gypsy ghetto 🇧🇬Dangerous?

I went solo in Sofia's biggest gypsy ghetto. I jumped on a tram from the centre, to the closest tram station to Fakulteta, which is an area of Sofia that famously houses the most roma gypsies in Sofia. there's actually a larger gypsy ghetto in Plovdiv which is the world's biggest gypsy ghetto.

In this video I bought a football (before filming) then gave it to a roma kid in a shop who was trying to speak to me. I'm not even sure which language he was speaking, but it's certainly not one that I speak. It's pretty obvious I wasn't a roma gypsy, which I found out later when some kids sprayed me with a hose, then a guy told me it was because I wasn't one of them. Quite funny, and refreshing.

Roma Gypsies have a stereotype of being dangerous, dirty, savage even, but is that really true? I wandered around Fakulteta in Sofia to find out how they'd react to me, an obvious outsider.
