A Firm Foundation for Life

Jesus closes the message in Luke 6 with a comparison of two typical people. He builds this picture around His Lordship. If you pay attention to His teachings and follow them, you will find security in this life. If you dismiss them, your life will collapse. The comparison of the wise and foolish builders is also repeated in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew and stands today as the ultimate comparison between those who follow Christ and those who ignore Him.
