Random Rants: Lucasfilm Centered The Acolyte On A Woke Diversity Hire, Not On Good Storytelling

Actress Amandla Stenberg recently admitted the upcoming series, The Acolyte, was entirely devised around her. This on the surface might mean nothing, but knowing Disney and Lucasfilm as of late, this appears to have more to do with her gender identity and less to do with the story. This has all the marks of tokenism, using her identity and the relationship of the High Republic era to Star Wars as a way of shaping the backstory of the entire franchise.
