ARROGANCE VS PRIDE & HUMILITY

SCRIPTURES

1. GOD FIGHTS AGAINST THIS ~ James 46
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

2. GOD KNOWS HOW TO HUMBLE ~ 1 Peter 55-6
Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

3. GOD HELP ME SEE YOU AS YOU ~ Rev. 112-18
Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 4. GOD SUPPLY SOBRIETY ~ Romans 123‭, ‬9‭-‬10
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.

5. CRITICISM & THE LOG IN YOUR OWN EYE ~ Matthew 73-5
And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
