Having a good credit history and credit score is critical for your financial health. It's necessary if you are wanting to finance a car, buy a house, or simply getting approved for a credit card. Your credit is extremely fragile. If you're not careful, you can really harm yourself financially and it can take years to correct the mistakes...trust me.
Understanding your credit history and what makes up your credit score is important. You can usually find out your score through one of your lenders or your bank for free. If you don't have access to the free service, check with the credit bureaus but they may charge you.
In this second video of the Money Matters series, I really try to break it down so it's easy to understand. I wish I knew this information when I was younger. I'd be in such a different place financially.
