Colonel Douglas McGregor on conflict with Ukraine

Former Pentagon adviser and retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor says the United States seriously underestimated Russia in the conflict with Ukraine. (The American Conservative)

He noted that the Russian Federation did not fail internally and did not succumb to the collective demands of the West for regime change in Moscow. According to him, the US is failing in the confrontation with Russia.

McGregor believes that Washington underestimated the cohesion of Russian society, Moscow's hidden military potential and its immunity to Western economic sanctions.
