Welcome to Firearms of America! Today, I have another Glock 40 caliber pistol review for you guys and this is Glock 23 review!

As usual, let's start with this Glock 23 specs:

So, another good, reliable Glock (typical). Of all the Glock models and calibers, this Glock G23 gen 5 was very familiar to me from the start, because my very first Glock was chambered in 40 S&W (Glock 35 Gen 3) and my current sidearm Glock is a Glock 17 gen 5, which is an identical size, only in 9mm.

Now some differences between Glock generations are the grip, upgraded guide rod and a few other little details like the magazine. While changes might seem insignificant to some, I think Glock gen 5 is definitely an upgrade to Glock gen 4 and 3, although I do miss the finger groves.

Overall though, you get from this Glock pistol exactly what you expect from a Glock. I think this Glock handgun is a great option for self and home defense, considering the mag capacity.
