It was so cold waiting for that train, but it was ok with the snow falling and a hot cup of coffee nearby. Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad ELS 402 (GP38) and ELS 502 (SD40) were left overnight at the Alter Metal spur after switching. At 8am I heard them start the engine, by 9am they were heading north in the falling snow.
