The final 737 MAX crash report from Ethiopia is contested by U.S. safety experts.

The final report from Ethiopia's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau on the deadly March 2019 accident of a Boeing 737 MAX, in which 157 people perished, has drawn criticism from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board. In its report from December, the E-A-I-B blamed an electrical fault for providing inaccurate angle-of-attack data. The MAX was grounded for 20 months as a result of the two crashes that occurred in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019. Over $20 billion in losses were incurred by Boeing during that time.
