Israel declares its intention to arm citizens following shootings

Following two shootings in Jerusalem that left seven people dead, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to make it easier for Israelis to obtain firearms. The raid in Jenin, which killed 32 Palestinians in one month at the hands of Israeli soldiers, was one of the worst in the city in nearly two decades.
