HOT PERSUIT: Routine Traffic Stop Ends In Dangerous Car Chase

This is the moment a traffic stop in Volusia County turned into a dangerous high-speed helicopter pursuit.

On the afternoon of January 27th, 2023 Volusia County deputies attempted to stop a blue Mercedes on Insterstate I-95.

Instead of stopping, the driver, Zachary Teytelbaum, 21, attempted to elude authorities by driving recklessly and endangering other road users.

Teytelbaum is seen losing control of the vehicle and going off the road on several occasions in the footage, attempting to flee the police.

Finally, he comes to a stop and surrenders to the police.

Teytelbaum was apprehended in Flagler County by VSO Chief Deputy Brian Henderson, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly, and CST officers, according to authorities.

He was arrested and put into the Flagler County Jail on a $5,000 bail for aggravated flight or trying to avoid law authorities.
