Putin : Need to prevent Ukrainian forces from shelling Russian border regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a priority to make sure that Ukrainian forces don’t have an opportunity to bombard Russian border regions.

"Of course, the priority is to eliminate the possibility of bombardments, but that’s up to the defense ministry," he said in his opening remarks at a meeting dedicated to rebuilding the housing infrastructure in the country’s border regions that had been ruined in emergencies.

He said the meeting will focus on "supporting the residents of Crimea, the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, whose homes and apartments in border territories have suffered damage or been ruined because of shelling by neo-Nazi formations."

In addition, Vladimir Putin stressed that the introduction of preferential mortgages at 2% in four new regions of the Russian Federation should contribute to the development of buildings, as well as increase the pace of recovery of cities and towns.

Президент России Владимир Путин заявил, что приоритетная задача властей - ликвидация возможности обстрелов украинскими боевиками приграничных территорий РФ.

«Конечно, приоритетная задача - ликвидировать саму возможность обстрелов, но это дело уже военного ведомства», - сказал глава государства в рамках совещания по восстановлению жилой инфраструктуры, разрушенной в приграничных регионах и в результате ЧС.

Также президент предложил обсудить помощь жителям Крыма, Белгородской, Брянской и Курской областей, квартиры и дома которых подверглись атаке боевиков и оказались разрушены.

Кроме того, Владимир Путин подчеркнул, что внедрение льготной ипотеки под 2% в четырех новых регионах РФ должна поспособствовать развитию строений, а также повысить темпы восстановления городов и поселков
