The Psychology of Veridos™ (Seekers of Truth and Justice) - A Study of Moral Heroism of the 5% or less.

A courageous vocal minority has arisen in the face of relentless opposition, demonization, censorship and punishment to challenge the official Covid narrative, to speak out and work for truth, justice, health and freedom. Many have asked about the psychology of the 5% of people. Diane Perlman did research on the late 1990s, also curious about people who take great personal risks for truth and justice, inspired by Daniel Ellsberg, a prominent among whistleblowers, who risked life in prison to expose the Pentagon Papers, exposing government lies and putting young soldiers in harm’s way, trying to end the unwinnable Viet Name war.

She discovered that acts of courage were not the result of a rational, cognitive, deliberative process but more like an inability to hold untruths in one’s body and soul. She coined the term “Verido”, to mean an instinctual drive for truth and justice, like “libido” the instinctual energy and drive for sex.

Perlman synthesized her findings from interviews, drawing upon psychological theories regarding family of origin, family systems theory, depth psychology, Jung, intersubjective psychoanalytic theory, gender perspectives, childrearing practices, childhood heroes, political awakening, formative life experience, Jungian psychological type, psychological development and maturity.

She came to the conclusion that “The Courageous Personality” is the psychological opposite of the Authoritarian Personality.
