The city of Volgograd marks the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad, with a military parade on Thursday, February 2.

The Battle of Stalingrad lasted from July 17, 1942 to February 2, 1943, ending with the surrender of German forces.
