An iinteresting observation is the date of Victor Bout's extradition/kidnapping from Thailand. As Victor points out, Thailand was close to civil war at that moment due to pro-Royalist (yellow shirts) protests against a proxy government, controlled by Thaksin Shinawatra, who was in exile. These protesters were shot at, bombed and beaten up regularly by pro-Thaksin supporters (red shirts) who to this day are sponsored by National Endowment for Democracy and George Soro's Open Society Foundation. Thaksin Shinawatra is not only a former PM of Thailand but also a former advisor to the Carlyle Group, which George Soros bailed out with 100 million $ in 1993. Their relationship is thought to be the reason for the 1997 financial crisis in Thailand and much of South East Asia. Soros made billions and a former political mentor of Thaksin has publicly stated that Thaksin made 800 million $ while ordinary Thais suffered.
