Fossil hunting in New Zealand - forams under the new microscope (microfossils)

I've recovered from a hectic cold I've had and finally got all the pieces I need to put my new stereo microscope together - it's an upgrade on my old one which could only do up to 45x (this one does 90x) and it also has a camera port!

Foraminifera (forams) are really fascinating single celled creatures. It's really worth looking at some of the beautiful photos of them you can find online.
