הרפובליקנים בבית הנבחרים הדיחו אתמול את חברת הקונגרס ממוצא מוסלמי, אילהאן עומאר, מתפקידה בוועדת החוץ בגלל אמירותיה האנטי אמריקניות והאנטישמיות.
הדמוקרטים קוראים להדחה זו "תעלול פוליטי", אך לדבריו של יו"ר בית הנבחרים, קווין מקארתי אמירותיה של עומאר מציבות את ארה"ב בסכנה.
