I will open with, this is probably my favorite EDC (Every Day Carry) knife.  Not because it is sexy and built for stabbing bad guys, but because it works.  In most all the occasions you need a pocket knife, this will do the trick.  The GERBER EAB (Exchange-A-Blade) Lite Pocket Knife is always on me now.

I often overthought my knife needs.  As a result I ended up with a number of knives that didn't really work for me.  You have to be honest with yourself on what your needs are for a knife.  At that point, of those needs, which ones come up repeatedly and regularly.  When we do this exercise, we find our knife isn't usually used for stabbing bad guys in the throat...    ...it is more like cutting boxes open that the UPS dude delivered.
