Because when we are at a heightened state of emotion from things like fear, anxiety etc we are more pliable and open to manipulation. Whether for political or profit driven purposes. It is important our diet of information in take, like our food diet, is a balanced one. And one we prioritize in accordance to our needs, responsibilities, and duties.
