IllumiGnation in Theory and Practice

IllumiGnation, enlightenment, expanded consciousness, awakened consciousness. Pursuit and acquisition of these state is all the rage...even though no one really seems to know exactly what any of them mean. Is enlightenment an end game state, or an infinite journey? Is illumiGnation simply the ability to see the world in the Light of Truth, or is it something more? Are these states even real? Perhaps they are only the imaginary pretenses of delusion, unhinged minds.

Misconceptions, bad information, and outright deception proliferate where ever profit motive goes, and spirituality is defintely industry. New Age guru's know they can make a quick buck by telling people what they want to hear and selling dreams. So what it what, and who is who in this oh so subtle arena of spiritual consciousness?

It turns out that these states are not so rare and exalted as so many believe. It also turns out that not only is it not necessary to abandon science and reason to pursue true Gnosis, you actually will need them.
