Elderly hamster enjoys cabbage

Onyx is 2 and a half years old and loves to enjoy a snack in bed, today he has some green cabbage and is loving it! Onyx gets treats and salads of hamster safe nutritious foods often, as he is now 2 and a half he’s reaching old age and his owner wants to give him all the love possible while he’s here on earth! Onyx is now in his retirement cage which is the very minimum recommended size for Syrian hamsters as he doesn’t run around as much as he used to, however hamsters should have a minimum of 80x50cm but 100x50cm is much more beneficial for their health and well-being! This along with a healthy nutritious diet can ensure your hamster lives a long and healthy life. Onyx is still going strong at 2 and a half with hopes he will make it to 3!
