What Gaming Items Are In My Office At Work

As someone who is interested in modern and retro video games, some people have asked me how much gaming-related paraphernalia do I actually have in my office? Fair question, let's take a look!

RetroFlag NES and Super Famicom RetroPie cases
I brought these back from the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in 2018 or 2019. I got them as a gift from Ryan at CastlemaniaGames, and while I have not put a Retropie in them, I still have them on my desk as display pieces. I think they look great, they've got amazing attention to detail, and one day I may actually use these for what they were designed for.

Super Mario and Earthworm Jim Artwork
My wife got me these prints the first year we went to the Missouri Game Con in 2018. She thought they were fun and very well done. There's actually a third print that she got me, toe jam and Earl, which I actually ended up giving to Helen and Aaron fro. I need to get earthworm jam hung on the wall as I just recently changed offices, but these are fun, personalized pieces to look at.

Diskun
Yes, I have several 3D-printed Diskuns In my office. One of my favorite retro characters from Nintendo that I wish we would have gotten here in the States. This was printed using a silk-looking filament which is what gives it its sheen.

Sonic The Hedgehog and Mega Man Pixel Frames
I love Pixel Frames artwork, I think they have done an amazing job with all of the different frames that they do. Mega Man X and Sonic the Hedgehog have probably been on display in my office since the day that I got them, and are definitely fun-looking conversation pieces.

Mario Kart keyboard mat
I picked this up for only five bucks from 5 Below in 2022, and I have a Super Mario Bros one in my office at home. It's one of those things that helps to keep my desk neat and clean, and also prevents my keyboard from sliding around. And for five bucks, couldn't resist!

Mario Brothers balance game
This was something that my wife got me for St Nicholas day in 2022 and my most recent addition to my collection. Clearly, I haven't taken it out of the box yet but it is designed to allow you to play a balance board game with popular Super Mario Bros characters. The detail on the molding is terrific!
