Killzone 2 (PS3) Gameplay

Playing through this small bit of footage, I forgot how much I really liked Killzone 2. I didn't like how they took the secondary fire options out of the game, making the guns more generic, and it's design was copy, and paste 7th gen "AAA" first person shooter design, but it's gunplay, and duck and cover system still have a good feel to them.

I know the PS3 fanboys hyped this game up as a killer app, which was off-putting, and after this game came out they declared the Xbox 360 vs PS3 graphical debate over. Look aside past the fanboy hype, and there's still a solid FPS game underneath, and the graphics do look great for a PS3 game.

Guerrilla games really put the work into this one, but then again, they had to after getting caught with their pants down when they showed a CGI trailer that was passed off as in-game graphics prior. Irregardless, they definitely put the work in, and programmed their butts off, using every trick in the PS3's arsenal to make the game look as close to that CGI trailer as they could. It could be the art direction, but honestly, I still think this game looks great. Killzone 3 looks even better.

It's online play was pretty cool too when the game was online. I didn't play it a ton, but I had fun when I would play it. Pretty solid from what I remember of it.
