The Detonics Combat Master- Updated?!

The Detonics Combat Master was the first really successful sub-compact 1911, and really the first commercially successful sub-compact service caliber handgun. Full props for that, but 40 years later can we make a better version? I'm going to see if I can. Of course not everyone will agree it's 'improved...'
