When it comes to building a fire, rarely do we do it in less than optimum conditions. We make a campfire in the summer for some smores and hang out telling stories. In the book, To Build a Fire by Jack London, getting a fire started is a life or death ordeal. So today I try getting a fire going when I am cold and wet with the polySTRIKER XL ferro rod by Exotac.
