PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY AND SYRIA!

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 122:6-8, NIV
Heavenly Father, like the psalmist’s plea, we pray for Jerusalem while praying also for our nation and region and all those who face threats to their safety and security: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of those souls You love and the world for which Jesus died, I will say, “Peace be within them all.”

Psalm 122:6-8
1 Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

1 Kings 8:28 “Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”

Loving God, at this time of crisis when so many are suffering, we pray for the people of Turkey and Syria. Comfort them, provide for them and restore them. Give their leaders and citizens wisdom, world resources for rebuilding and Health Service strength, give them hope. Lead them through these parched and difficult days to the fresh springs of joy and comfort that we find in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
