Second high altitude unknown object was shot down Friday by US Military F22 over Alaska airspace. Object was not picked up on radar until it had already crossed into US territory. John Kirby of the Pentagon described the object as cylindrical and silverish grey. According to Kirby, the object posed a reasonable threat to civilian aircraft. Preliminary reports state that the object is not similar to the Chinese spy balloon which was shot down off the coast of South Carolina over the Atlantic Ocean last week. No country of origin has yet been named.
