The woke Left requires your surrender.
If they don't get it, they'll come after you.
They're Voldemort.
But why are corporations complying?
Because their middle management rules the roost.
Major corporations act out of fear: fear of liability,
fear of bad media coverage.
Middle management takes advantage.
Where the bosses are indeed responsible
for profits and efficiencies,
and those lowest on the ladder
are just worried about keeping their jobs,
the middle management level is comprised
of two dangerous groups: cowards and activists.
If you're a middle management activist,
you know that wokeness is the best job protection.
Go woke, and if you're ever fired,
you can rip down the company that fired you with
the help of activists in the media and government.
If you're a middle management coward,
you can rent-seek by cowering before the woke:
you're protecting the company from liability --
and just coincidentally,
making your job more vital in the future
by exacerbating the woke threat.
From Disney to Twitter to AirBNB,
the biggest problem isn't the people at
the top or the people at the bottom.
It's Deep Corporate --
the career bureaucrats who have no interest in
the success of the enterprise,
but lots of ulterior motives.
