The Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf. F, also known as VK 18.01,
was a German light tank from WW II.
The The Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.F was developed in 1940, after it came
it came apparent that the Panzer I, was obsolete
and had no potential as a combat tank anymore
and all new developments were directed towards reconnaissance
or infantry support tanks.

The Panzer I Ausf. F was a completely new design that would
use a few elements of the original Panzer I Ausf. A, B and C. and
would use the same armor layout as the Panzer II Ausf. J.

The design bureau called for the tank to mount the
maximum armour protection possible.
It would be designed with increased armoured and a
new suspension, so it could to assist the infantry
in the attack operations.

Its armor at the front was virtually impenetrable to anti-tank weapons at the time.
It has 80mm frontal armour,
50mm on the side and rear, and 25mm top and bottom. However,
the armour had little to no slope.

Production would start on on December 22, 1939.
But the vehicle would already be cancelled, after on 30
were produced and production of the vehicle began.

This Panzer I at the Kalemegdan Military Museum, Belgrade
in Serbia, was produced at Krauss-Maffei, Munich,Germany.

It would have seen action in Yugoslavia,
was set ablaze and was abandoned,
after the war it was shipped to Belgarde.
