Jamie Hammond @documentingAustin is a filmmaker who is the President of DASH (Documenting Austin’s Streets and Homeless) whose work on homelessness has been featured in various local and national news outlets. In this episode we talked about the purpose behind his work, how various homeless communities operate, how he gains their trust to film them, and how shining a light on these issues will hopefully lead to sane policies that allow the homeless to get the help they need so that they no longer need to stay on the streets.
