Indiana state Sen. Vaneta Becker votes to centralize public health

Sen. Vaneta Becker of Evansville votes ‘yes’ on Senate Bill 4, a bill that will take autonomy away from county health departments and centralize power over public health at the state level, under the Indiana Department of Health. The bill also gives the Indiana Department of Health an additional $300 million over the next two years.
