It's becoming clear that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was picked for this job to make Joe Biden look intelligent, in comparison. Here is her recent exchange with a reporter. (Below the dialogue is a link to the original video).

Reporter: "Why is the American military shooting something ou tof the sky over Canada?"
Karine Jean-Pierre: "Because it's part of NORAD. NORAD is part of a, it's a, it's what you'd call a coalition, a pact. That's why we were able to do that. Again, we didn't do it on our own. We did it, uh, in, uh, clearly in step with Canadia."
