Just weeks ago, news outlets across the country broacast the bodycam footage of Memphis Police beating Tyre Nichols, leading to his death. Videos like this can shed light on the truth, but can also have lasting negative impacts on people of color who view them. 23ABC's Dominique LaVigne spoke with leaders at Scripps, our parent company, about how news stations determine how to air this kind of content.
