Amazon’s «Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is soon upon us, and was widely assumed to be quite in line with current year sensibilities and politics. But, as it turns out, this assumption must have been premature, because the showrunners have now come out and said that “The Rings of Power” is aiming to be “timeless” like the works of Tolkien himself!
Could this be true, or are the showrunners merely deceiving the audience?
We shall see, for in this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin with going through what the showrunners said, why it makes no sense and they are absolutely gaslighting you, and finally … why they would lie like this, because that IS what they are doing.
