Joao Felix, Enzo & Mudryk train in INTENSE fog ahead of Chelsea's Champions League trip to Dortmund

Chelsea trained in the fog at their Surrey base on Tuesday before flying to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund in Wednesday's UEFA Champions league last-16 tie.

Graham Potter's team head into the first leg at Signal Iduna Park sitting tenth in the English Premier League table, having won just one of eight games across all competitions since the turn of the year.

The west London club spent over UK£ 300 million (US$ 366 million) in the winter transfer window, more than double the total that all clubs in the German Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A and Spain's La Liga spent combined.

New signings Mykhailo Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez and on-loan Joao Felix did impress in phases of the first half of Chelsea's trip to West Ham on Saturday.

But that game ended 1-1, Chelsea's third Premier League draw in a row.

Dortmund sit third in the Bundesliga, just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich, but will have to do without forward Youssoufa Moukoko for Wednesday's game.

The west German club announced on Monday that the 18 year-old will miss up to six weeks of action with an ankle ligament injury sustained in Saturday's 2-0 win over Werder Bremen.

But striker Sebastien Haller, who scored 11 Champions League goals last season for Ajax, is in line to make his European debut for Dortmund after missing all of the first half of the season while being treated for testicular cancer.

Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be able to make a return to his former club after being omitted from Potter's 25-man Champions League squad earlier this month.

But the 33-year-old, who spent five years at 'BVB' between 2013 and 2018, did train with the Chelsea first team on Tuesday.
