It's All a Scam

About a decade ago, Illinois legislators on both sides of the aisle began a push to put in place a new school funding plan that would more equitably distribute state money to schools.

Every interest group involved in school issues was onboard, pointing out that Illinois was the number one state for reliance on local taxes to fund schools which created large disparities in how much was spent on education among our school districts.
