The Chats are an Australian punk rock band from Queensland, Australia. The band was formed in high school and released their debut self-titled EP a month after they formed. The Chats have since released two full-length albums, High Risk Behaviour (2020) and Spooky Scary Skeletons (2021).

The Chats' sound is a mix of punk rock, garage rock, and pub rock. They have been compared to bands such as The Ramones, The Clash, and The Stooges. Their lyrics often focus on themes of teenage angst, suburban life, and the struggles of everyday life.
