Ganesh known as Ganapati, Vinayaka and Pillaiyar is the Lord of Good Fortune who provides prosperity, fortune and success. Ganesh is also associated with the first Chakra/Muladhara/Sacral, or energy wheel. First chakra underpins all other Chakras and represents conservation, survival and material well-being. Ganesh is considered to be a patron of the arts and sciences and of letters. Devotees worshiping Ganesh believe that he grants success, prosperity and protection against adversity. Ganesh is also the destroyer of vanity, selfishness and pride that are some of his other roles of lesser known. Ganesh is highly loved and revered due to his association with benevolence, intelligence and strength and the stories that are associated with his creation.
