Credit Card Woes, Housing signals go in opposite directions, and a microphone check

Good evening! We had a fine show tonight. Computer parts for the new build are coming in. Kind of a shame, we probably would have been able to build the new computer by this weekend if the case were here but it is not because it’s on backorder. Fingers crossed we get that before the end of the month.

I went over the credit card dilemma and financing issues small businesses face.

We talked about my first data tweet! It was examining home prices in a new construction development. Hopefully it relates to people and we get some engagement.

The rest of the tweets we looked at were pretty dark with regards to forward economic prognostications….sorry about that. Hope I’m not in an echo chamber.

Finally, we talked about an article in zero hedge about the disconnect between the consumer confidence numbers and the national association of homebuilders sentiment. What is this about? Why are homebuilders so confident now when consumers seem to have such little confidence in the economy? That can’t be good, no?

Mortgage Rates came in at 6.75 percent on a 30 year fixed today.

Obtaining Credit for a small business…not easy. Should it be easier? What about the talk I had with one of my former entrepreneurs? Business is so hard now, access to capital is so limited.

Computer parts are coming in!

An odd time: There is no trust in government. There is no trust in institutions. We know why, but should we have always known this? It’s like we are all on our own, left to our own devices, there are rules for some, different rules for others, and your only hope is that you don’t get trapped in someone else’s mess.
