Many fine books have been forgotten over the years, and deserve not only to be read, but adapted into a visual medium.

In this video I talk above three forgotten classics in the public domain I think would fill the bill: M. P. Shiel's 'Purple Cloud' (1901), C. J. Cutliffe-Hyne's 'The Lost Continent' (1899) and Mary D. Nauman's 'Eva's Adventures in Shadow-Land' (1874).
