The LORD here is YHVH it is Yeshua or HaShem = the NAME). The Hebrew home yom = hottest part of the day. Abraham is resting here like a siesta, maybe in prayer, plus he had just been circumcised. This may not have been the same day, but may have been, and it was soon after. So, this is the appearance of a Theophany.
2 He lifted up his eyes (Abraham may have been praying at this point) and looked (raw ah) (ayin = with his eyes, not a dream or vision, well a real actual vision), and behold three men (Ish) stood opposite him. When he saw them, he ran (roos = ran which I point out because he had just been circumcised).
Abraham’s language would certainly be appropriate for addressing the LORD HaShem. He calls HIM Adonai, that is LORD, asking HIM (the LORD) to stop and stay if he has found favor in HIS (the LORD’s) eyes.
