Why we get mad--and why it’s healthy

However, anger can become unhealthy when it is expressed in harmful or destructive ways, such as through violence or verbal abuse. It can also be harmful if it is constantly suppressed or denied, which can lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, or physical health problems.
