BEWARE OF MAN-MADE TRADITIONS

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!! Praise God, we made it today! I went to the dentist to have this infected, cracked tooth extracted, and it went so well, that I just can't help but thank God for it! The doctor started off with giving me nitrous, and numbing my mouth, in particular the area where he was going to inject and remove the tooth, and God answered my prayers my friends, and how he washed his piece all over me during that whole time, and I barely felt anything! There was a point, where I felt a little bit, and he gave me extra Novocain numbing injection, but he was able to pull the tooth out, and even though the tooth broke, he was able to get the whole thing out, and praise God I don't have to deal with this anymore. He did tell me that there is a tooth that's completely broken back there, that he says I might want to look into getting it removed in the next year or so, so please pray about that. I'm not in the mood to get it removed, because it's not bothering me right now, but I'm just praising God right now that this got accomplished. Right now the right side of my face is still a bit numb, this stuff is slowly but surely wearing off, but I am extremely grateful for getting this done. I'm also thinking of having some macaroni and cheese which is very nice and soft, and maybe a little piece of salmon. But overall, I'm just praising God for how well this went, and I really want to say thank you to everyone out there who was praying for me.

Allow me to ask these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that these questions will not only challenge you, really get you to think about the things that you do in the name of God.

What are some of the traditions you hold fast to?

How do they line up with what’s revealed in Scripture?

I’d like to share some things with all of you right now, through this blog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, in hopes that it will get you to think about the traditions, and the things that you do that you believe are based on God's word. That you'll carefully examine everything that you do in light of scripture alone, reading that scripture for yourself, and not believing what another person says God's word says. Come join me in this vlog my friends and learn how to follow God over the traditions of men! 😊

So, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you will choose to carefully evaluate ALL the traditions and beliefs that you hold on to, in light of what scripture says, and not what someone else says scripture says. I pray that you will choose to consistently evaluate traditions, as well as anything that you hold close to your heart, and ask God to show you through His word, whether or not these are traditions that you should be following. The last thing that you wanna do my friend's, is be engulfed in legalism and perfectionism over focusing on Christ. We need to remember that there were things that God has revealed to us that are truly needed, and they are to always supersede man-made traditions. I pray that we choose to ask God every day to mold us, shape us, and fashion us into who HE wants us to be, over what someone else claims God wants us to be, and that we carefully examine the scriptures every day, just as the Bereans did, so that we are truly following God and not man. Choose to seek God’s Word DAILY, when you hear and/or are being taught something that you find questionable. Above all, don’t be afraid to ask questions and use God’s Word to back up what you say!
